Pre-swing

Fundamentals:  GAP

You must master the 3

essential pre-swing

fundamentals: Grip,

Alignment, and Posture

Watch vdeos below.

Grip

Proper hand placement on the club is critical to hit consistently solid golf shots.  A proper grip means that the hands, wrists, and arms will work together and the clubhead will be square to the target at ball impact.

Alignment

Aligning the feet, knees, waist, arms, hands, shoulders, and eyes parallel to the target line means the player has the best chance of producing accurate golf shots.  If any of those elements are not aligned, then the body has to contort in some fashion to achieve the intended ball flight.

Posture

Correct posture means that the body can most efficiently transmit energy to the golf ball.  It is an athletic position that allows the player to maintain spine angle throughout the swing.  This means the ball is more likely to travel on the desired flight path.
